Study area: c.22ha, comprising mixed arable/pasture fields located in flat to undulating lowland.
Instrumentation: 6 channel cart mounted magnetometer system combined with cm precision GPS. Magnetometry 8-10cm sample interval, sensor separation 0.5m; GPS measurement 1Hz along 3m wide transects.
Soils: gleys (60%), brown earths (20%), and peaty gleys (20%) over alluvium07/10/2015
In April 2014 Target completed magnetometry and EMI surveys across 25ha of land in Gemeente Gooik, in the Pajottenland region south-east of Brussels. 3 sites of Gallo-Roman origin were geophysically investigated, including a potential villa/small settlement, a known villa site and Roman bath-house partially excavated in the 1970’s, and a large nationally renowned Roman Vicus sited at the crossroads of 2 Roman Roads. This geophysical work was carried out in conjunction with soil and desktop survey completed by Aron bvba, and formed part of a broader archaeological study being undertaken by the Vlaamse Landmaatschappij (VLM).19/06/2014
In March 2014 Target completed geophysical survey across available lands at a 17th century Spanish fortress on the Dutch/Belgian border. This survey formed part of a broader archaeological study incorporating aerial survey, 3D Modelling, cartographic and historic research, geophysics, and soil auguring.30/04/2014
In February 2014 Target completed the fieldwork and reporting from 18ha of magnetometer survey, targeted electrical resistivity and electromagnetic induction (EMI), at the site of a suspected Roman settlement, situated in the floodplain of the river Maas, in eastern Limburg (Belgium).19/04/2014
In October 2013 Target was commissioned to undertake geophysical survey in connection with ongoing research at the site of a Roman settlement in Département de Morbihan, in Brittany, France. This investigation used magnetometry and electrical resistivity.14/04/2014
In July 2013 Target participated as geophysical consultant in connection with ongoing research at a large Roman settlement in Département des Deux-Sèvres, in the Poitou-Charentes region of western France. 4 locations were investigated using electromagnetic induction (EMI), magnetometry, and electrical resistivity.13/04/2014
In June 2013 Target completed geophysical research at the site of a suspected Roman villa, covering an 11ha study area situated on elevated ground shortly west of Tienen, in Vlaams Brabant (Belgium). Magnetometry and electrical resistivity were used for the geophysical investigation of this site.11/04/2014

At a site of proposed loam extraction in Limburg (Belgium), 1.3ha of gradiometry was undertaken following discovery of a series of postholes and additional features of suspected Iron Age origin. Gradiometer survey was conducted firstly to provide a detailed plan of features noted by the client following topsoil removal, and secondly to define the location and extent of any further remains that may be present.09/03/2012
